Auburn’s Johni Broome looked like a Naismith National Player of the Year finalist. He carried the Tigers until other players found their rhythm. Broome finished with 22 points and 16 rebounds.

For Michigan, it was Danny Wolf leading the way. He scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds. Not much else went right for the Wolverines, and Auburn won going away, 78-65.

Both teams had stretches of sloppiness, represented by 30 turnovers total, 15 by each team. The problem for Michigan was that most of their turnovers happened in the second half, feeding a 25-6 run by Auburn that ultimately ended the season for the Wolverines.

A successful season it was, however. Michigan will always be the 2025 Big Ten Tournament Champion, and winning their way to the Sweet Sixteen brought excitement for a loyal fan base.

The team will look much different next year, and repeating this season’s success will be difficult. Appreciate this run. It was memorable for big shots and buzzer beater finishes. Rejoice on opening night next season when you watch a new banner raised to the rafters.
