Detroit Pistons Guard Cade Cunningham continued his stellar season with a triple double Friday against the Toronto Raptors, scoring 22 points, 17 assists and 10 rebounds. In doing so, he guided the Pistons to victory, putting them back in the win column and back over .500. The year of the snake continues

Tonight, the Pistons face the NBA Eastern Conference’s third place team, the New York Knicks. This will be a tough test in the Big Apple. The Knicks are 13-6 at home this season, per StatMuse. The Pistons are 10-10 on the road.

The Knicks will be led by point guard Jalen Brunson and power forward Karl-Anthony Towns, who both average just more than 25 points per game this season, ranking ninth and 11th in the league, respectively. Brunson averages 7.5 assists per game, leading the team and eighth in the league, per NBA.com. Towns leads the team in rebounds, at 14 per game, second in the league. 

By comparison, Cunningham leads the Pistons in scoring at 24.2 points per game this season, 16th in the league. He also leads the team in assists, at 9.5 per game, third in the league. Center Jalen Duren leads the Pistons with 9.4 rebounds per game, 17th in the league. 

The Knicks are seventh in the league in scoring offense, at 117.2 points per game, while the Pistons are 15th, at 112.1. 

The Knicks also boast a better defense, with a rating of 112.4, fourth in the league. The Pistons are 11th in the league at 113. 

The latest betting odds, reported by NBC Sports, have the Knicks favored to win, with a spread of seven points. They are -299, while the Pistons are +239. The over/under for total points scored is 225.
